About MVS Ministries

Rooted in the spirit of Jesus, Mennonite Voluntary Service invites people from a variety of backgrounds and ages to walk with people who are disadvantaged and suffering from injustice, participate in issues and activities of a local neighborhood and faith community, live simply in a shared household where relationships can be affirmed and nurtured and serve as an extension of a local congregation.

Pilsen MVS

CCMC became an official sponsoring congregation of the Pilsen MVS unit in 1998. 

While not all VSers are necessarily Mennonite, many have frequently attended CCMC, and the church has come to deeply appreciate the meaningful ways in which VSers have participated in church worship and life.  

Today, members of CCMC comprise the majority of the local MVS Support Committee, the body providing administrative and personal support for the volunteers.
